Udta Teer Grew Every Day Of The Weekend
Ayushmann Khurrana's Udta Teer opened small at Rs 4.10 crore and climbed every single day, to Rs 8.20 crore on Sunday, then held firm on Monday. Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 crossed Rs 400 crore net in India on day 12. A Kannada film is still pulling crowds in its fifth week, Drishyam and Hanuman Ansh are on their final laps, and Ramayana's advance booking is past Rs 13.5 crore with nine days to go.

- Jailer 2 made Rs 64.35 crore in its second weekend and crossed Rs 400 crore net in India on Monday 26 October, its 12th day. Its worldwide gross is Rs 733.35 crore.
- Premada Oorali, a Kannada film in its fifth week, made Rs 8.85 crore and has passed Rs 103 crore net in India.

Udta Teer Box Office Collection: A Slow Start That Kept Climbing
On Friday evening, Udta Teer looked like an ordinary release. Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's film opened at Rs 4.10 crore, which doesn't even make Ayushmann's top five openings.
Then audiences started talking. Saturday brought Rs 7.25 crore, up 77%. Sunday brought Rs 8.20 crore — exactly double the Friday. When a Hindi film doubles from Friday to Sunday, it's the people who watched it selling the tickets, not the trailer.
Monday is where most films come back to earth, and Udta Teer barely did. It made Rs 3.15 crore, only 23% below its Friday. Plenty of Hindi films lose half their Friday figure or more on the first Monday.
| Udta Teer · India net | Fri 23 | Sat 24 | Sun 25 | Mon 26 | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Opening weekend | 4.10 | 7.25 | 8.20 | 3.15 | 22.70 |
Udta Teer is now the clear number one Hindi film in the country. Its only real enemy is the calendar: it has one more open weekend before Ramayana arrives on 5 November and takes most of the big screens in Hindi markets. Whatever it's going to earn, it needs to earn in the next eight days.
Jailer 2 Box Office: Rs 400 Crore In 12 Days
Jailer 2 barely slowed down in its second weekend. Rajinikanth's film made Rs 14.50 crore on Friday, Rs 24.15 crore on Saturday and Rs 25.70 crore on Sunday — Rs 64.35 crore in three days. That's a 54% drop from its first Friday-to-Sunday, which is normal for a big star film in week two. And Sunday beat Saturday, a good sign that families are still turning up.
On Monday it added Rs 9.45 crore and crossed Rs 400 crore net in India, finishing day 12 at Rs 408.15 crore.

The records Jailer 2 has broken
- Fastest Tamil film to Rs 300 crore net in India: 7 days. 2.0 took 8, Leo 11 and the first Jailer 16.
- Fastest Tamil film to Rs 500 crore worldwide: 6 days.
- Biggest Tamil film ever overseas: about Rs 210 crore after one week, ahead of Leo and Jailer.
- First Tamil film to cross US$7 million in the Middle East.
- Already the fourth-highest-grossing Tamil film of all time worldwide, according to Gulf News.
Where Jailer 2's money is coming from
Tamil Nadu is its biggest state at Rs 186.25 crore gross, but that's less than 40% of the Indian total. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have added Rs 87.55 crore, Karnataka Rs 82.75 crore and Kerala Rs 71.85 crore. By language, the Tamil version has made Rs 284.95 crore net, Telugu Rs 77.25 crore, Hindi Rs 39.95 crore and Kannada Rs 6 crore.
Overseas is Rs 255.50 crore gross, about a third of the worldwide total. In its first week abroad, the Middle East gave US$7.10 million, North America US$5.90 million, Malaysia US$2.74 million and the UK and Ireland US$1.86 million. Its second US weekend added US$1.16 million from 262 cinemas, taking its American total to US$7.20 million.

India Box Office Top 10: 23–25 October 2026
The top ten films made about Rs 118.5 crore from Friday to Sunday, and Jailer 2 alone took more than half of it. Three new films made the list: Udta Teer, Clayface and Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar.

Premada Oorali Box Office: Rs 100 Crore, Almost All From Karnataka
Premada Oorali came out on 25 September. Five weekends later it is still out-earning most of the new releases: Rs 8.85 crore this weekend, more than Ranabaali, more than Drishyam, and more than every new Hindi film except Udta Teer. Sunday alone was Rs 3.75 crore.
It now stands at Rs 103.47 crore net in India and Rs 124.46 crore worldwide. Overseas has contributed only about Rs 3.50 crore. This is a film that one state chose, and then kept choosing, with very little help from anywhere else.
A Rs 3.75 crore Sunday in week five is rare for any Kannada film. Premada Oorali is the sleeper hit of the season, and it will keep adding money well into November.
Drishyam: The Conclusion And Hanuman Ansh: Final Box Office Estimates
Drishyam: The Conclusion — heading for about Rs 380 crore
Ajay Devgn's Drishyam: The Conclusion made Rs 7.05 crore in its fourth weekend and Rs 1.05 crore on Monday. It is at about Rs 370 crore net in India and Rs 576.35 crore worldwide.
Weekdays are now worth about Rs 1 crore each. Add another Rs 3–4 crore this weekend before Ramayana takes its screens, and we expect a final India total of Rs 378–382 crore net. That makes it comfortably Ajay Devgn's biggest film in India.
The Malayalam Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal, is a separate film. It released on 21 May and finished at Rs 110.49 crore net and Rs 239.83 crore worldwide. Between them, the two Drishyam films of 2026 have grossed more than Rs 815 crore worldwide.
Hanuman Ansh — Rs 341.62 crore on a Rs 2.95 crore budget
Hanuman Ansh released on 7 August. On Monday, its 81st day, it was still in cinemas, making between Rs 0.1 and Rs 0.25 crore a day. It has earned Rs 341.62 crore net in India (Hindi Rs 335.71 crore, Telugu Rs 5.91 crore) and Rs 451.94 crore worldwide.
According to the producer, the entire film, publicity included, cost Rs 2.95 crore. That means every rupee spent has returned more than Rs 115 in India alone. It is the second-biggest Hindi film of 2026 in India, ahead of Border 2's Rs 329.43 crore.
We expect it to finish at Rs 343–345 crore net in India. The makers want a full 100 days in cinemas before it streams, and no streaming deal has been announced.
Box Office Prediction: What Opens This Friday, 30 October
Two films lead the releases on Friday 30 October:
- Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 (AK 47) — Telugu, starring Venkatesh and directed by Trivikram. It has moved twice, from 2 October and then from 9 October. This is the big one.
- Nakhrewaalii — a Hindi romantic comedy with Ansh Duggal and Pragati Srivastava, produced by Aanand L. Rai.
A number of smaller regional films are also listed. Advance booking figures aren't out yet, so the chart below is our forecast, not a count.
| # | Film | Week | Fri–Sun forecast | Range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | AK 47 NEW | W1 | 32 | 25–42 |
| 2 | Jailer 2 | W3 | 27 | 23–31 |
| 3 | Udta Teer | W2 | 11 | 9–13 |
| 4 | Premada Oorali | W6 | 5.7 | 5–6.5 |
| 5 | Drishyam: The Conclusion | W5 | 3.9 | 3.3–4.5 |
| 6 | Ranabaali | W3 | 3.1 | 2.5–3.8 |
| 7 | Nakhrewaalii NEW | W1 | 2.5 | 1.5–4 |
| 8 | Prahaar | W3 | 1.4 | 1.1–1.7 |
| 9 | Nayyi Navelli | W3 | 1.2 | 0.9–1.5 |
| 10 | Clayface | W2 | 1.0 | 0.8–1.3 |
Our main call: AK 47 opens at number one, ending Jailer 2's two weeks at the top. Venkatesh's Sankranthiki Vasthunam made more than Rs 20 crore on its first day in January 2025, but that was the Sankranti holiday. An ordinary October Friday is smaller, so we have AK 47 at around Rs 32 crore for the weekend.
The week after belongs to one film. Ramayana releases on Thursday 5 November, with previews on Wednesday night in North America.
Ramayana Advance Booking: Nine Days Out
Sacnilk's latest count, as of 4:50 PM IST on 27 October, has Ramayana at Rs 13.53 crore for its opening day in India, from 2.51 lakh tickets across 5,862 shows in 169 cities. Without blocked seats, it is Rs 10.89 crore and 1.99 lakh tickets. The Hindi version accounts for Rs 11.69 crore, Kannada Rs 1.42 crore and Telugu Rs 0.42 crore.
Outside India, we count the seat maps ourselves. As of 27 October:
| Market | Tickets | Value |
|---|---|---|
| India (opening day, Sacnilk) | 2,51,000 | Rs 13.54 Cr |
| North America (US + Canada) | 103,842 | US$1.97M |
| The UK | 16,304 | US$292K |
| Australia & New Zealand | 16,223 | US$272K |
| Germany | 4,824 | US$93K |
| Netherlands | 3,717 | US$58K |
| Worldwide | 396,397 | US$4.11M |
One cinema stands out: IMAX Melbourne has sold 1,295 tickets across just five shows, including 342 of its 459 seats for Friday 6 November. In North America, the Wednesday preview night alone already has about 30,000 tickets.
US Box Office: Clayface Wins, A Documentary Steals The Show
| # | Film | Weekend | Change | Cinemas | US total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Clayface NEW | $24.00M | — | 3,458 | $24.00M |
| 2 | You Can See Everything | $19.50M | +25% | 2,655 | $45.15M |
| 3 | Wildwood NEW | $11–12.3M | — | ~2,600 | $11–12.3M |
| 4 | Street Fighter | $8.59M | −72% | 3,575 | $46.93M |
| 5 | Wicker NEW | $5.75M | — | 1,471 | $5.75M |
| 6 | Other Mommy | $3.90M | −52% | 2,798 | $51.59M |
| 7 | Sense and Sensibility | $3.30M | −54% | 2,571 | $13.58M |
| 8 | Whalefall | $3.08M | −61% | 3,065 | $13.96M |
| 9 | Verity | $3.08M | −49% | 2,442 | $71.54M |
| 10 | Resident Evil | $2.90M | −47% | 2,148 | $153.58M |
Clayface, the DC horror film, opened at US$24 million, including US$3.5 million from Thursday previews. It reportedly cost US$44 million and audiences gave it an A− CinemaScore, so it should turn a profit — but it's a modest start by DC standards.
The real story is You Can See Everything. A week ago this documentary had the biggest documentary opening since Fahrenheit 9/11 in 2004. This weekend it tripled its cinema count and went up 25% to US$19.5 million. Documentaries almost never do that.
Street Fighter, meanwhile, dropped 72% in its second weekend, which is steep. The top 20 films made about US$94 million, roughly 22% more than the same weekend last year.
Halloween weekend prediction
No major film opens on Friday 30 October, and Halloween falls on Saturday, which usually keeps people away from cinemas that night. Our call: You Can See Everything at number one with about US$13 million, Clayface second at around US$10–11 million, and Wildwood third at about US$7 million.
The next big weekend is 6 November, when Godzilla Minus Zero opens with tracking of US$25–35 million — one day after Ramayana.

No weekly streaming chart for 19–25 October has been published yet, so we aren't ranking shows this week.
Top Songs In India This Week: Film Music Is Missing
Here's the top five on Spotify's India weekly chart for the week of 22 October:
| # | Song | Artist |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Barsaat | Banjaare & Roni |
| 2 | Alfaaz | Hamza Malik & Zain Zohaib |
| 3 | Arz Kiya Hai (Coke Studio Bharat) | Anuv Jain |
| 4 | Radhimaa | Sai Abhyankkar |
| 5 | KALYANI (Remix) | — |
Not a single song from Jailer 2, Udta Teer or Ramayana is in the top 15. The only film song anywhere near the top is Gehra Hua from Dhurandhar at number 9, months after that film came out. Independent music is winning the playlists this season, while the big films are winning in cinemas without a hit song.
Keep an eye on Ramayana's soundtrack. A major song release in the next nine days could be the first film track in weeks to break into the top five.

How We Counted
India figures are Sacnilk's numbers, net, in rupees crore, as of 27 October 2026. We use one tracker throughout so every row compares fairly. Worldwide figures are gross. Drishyam: The Conclusion's total is our own sum of the daily figures to Monday, because Sacnilk's page already includes part of Tuesday.
US figures are Sunday studio estimates, not Monday actuals. Wildwood has two different estimates in circulation, and we show both.
Both charts for next weekend are Boxoffy forecasts, clearly marked, and we'll grade them publicly on Monday. Ramayana's overseas figures are our own seat-map counts; the India figure is Sacnilk's opening-day report.
