Drishyam: The Conclusion

Ajay Devgn · Dir. Abhishek Pathak · Hindi · Released 2 October 2026 · Ajay Devgn Ffilms

Also known as Drishyam 3. Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran and Jaideep Ahlawat co-star in the third and final chapter of the Vijay Salgaonkar story, eleven years after the first film.

What this page is, and is not. The film opened on 2 October 2026 and no settled collection exists yet. Everything below is either a number we counted ourselves from live seat maps before release, or a Boxoffy projection marked CALL. Not one figure on this page is a reported collection. Day-one actuals land on 3 October and this page is updated then.
What We Counted

6,36,693 seats were sold before the first show.

On the night before release we read the live seat map of every Drishyam show listed on District across fifty Indian cities and added them up. Not a sample, not a projection — every seat actually sold, screen by screen, with the price of each seat class attached to it.

National chains — PVR, INOX and Cinepolis together — stood at 4,21,153 seats and ₹20.25 crore with nine hours left before the first show, selling at 17,900 seats an hour through the night. Our projected first-show figure is 4,60,000, which would make it the fourth biggest Hindi advance ever recorded at the national chains, ahead of Animal, War and Stree 2 and behind only Dhurandhar 2, Jawan and Pathaan.

A check on ourselves, because one number this size deserves it. A hand scan of the chains at 9.44pm read 3,74,684. The machine count, rolled back to that same minute, says 3,72,400 — 0.6% apart, from two methods that share nothing in common.

The opening-day figure comes from a single-input model that converts the finished national-chain advance into day-one net. Fed the 4,60,000 we are calling, it returns ₹60.6 crore. We publish ₹61.

On the multiplier we will say the uncomfortable part out loud: 9.5 is the optimistic end of its own peer group. Pathaan ran 9.5 times off a ₹57 crore opening, Animal 8.7 off ₹64 crore and Jawan 8.5 off ₹75 crore. We are above that trio because this is a family thriller people return to with their parents, not a one-weekend event. If Monday falls harder than 65% from Sunday, the floor moves to about ₹470 crore.

Drishyam 2 finished its entire pre-release advance on 1,27,000 seats. The Conclusion is tracking to roughly three and a half times that before its first show had started. Ajay Devgn’s career best is Tanhaji at ₹279.6 crore; on the call above he clears it by ₹300 crore, at 57, in his 108th film.

Chennai is the hottest market in the country at 69.9%, on only 60 shows. Karnataka as a state sits at 59.4%. Gujarat is the one real gap: it was given 1,388 shows, more than Maharashtra’s 1,343, and has sold 48,099 seats against Maharashtra’s 1,64,061. One caution on ourselves — District leans towards multiplexes and Gujarat sells harder through single screens than most states, so part of that gap may be our coverage rather than the market.

America gave the film 389 theatres and nine premium showtimes out of 944 — no IMAX, no Dolby anywhere in the country. In the Gulf the same film is on 28.5% premium screens. It is also on sale in places with no Indian cinema circuit at all: Anchorage, Honolulu, Fargo, Sioux Falls, Boise, Huntington in West Virginia and Westbrook in Maine.

The Kerala line, twice. Drishyam 3 in Malayalam — the Mohanlal film — took $1.4 million in the Gulf on its opening day. We expect the Hindi film to take about $390,000 there. That is not a quality gap or a star gap. It is simply who lives there.
This is not the Malayalam film. Two separate films share the name Drishyam 3. This page is the Hindi film, Drishyam: The Conclusion, Ajay Devgn, directed by Abhishek Pathak, released 2 October 2026. The Malayalam Drishyam 3 stars Mohanlal, is directed by Jeethu Joseph, released 21 May 2026, and finished at ₹110.49 crore India net and ₹239.83 crore worldwide — its figures are here.
Method

Where these numbers come from.

What we counted. The advance figures — 6,36,693 seats, ₹26.97 crore, the city table — come from reading the live seat map of every Drishyam show listed on District across fifty Indian cities, captured between 11.26pm on 1 October and 12.28am on 2 October 2026. Seats total, seats available and the price of each seat class are published for every show; sold and gross are arithmetic on those. North America is Fandango seat maps across 385 postcodes, read the same night. The Gulf is VOX listings, Canada is Cineplex, and the UK run is confirmed from Cineworld’s own catalogue.

Coverage, stated plainly. Our India count covers 667 cinemas and 7,448 shows against an all-India print of 1,413 cinemas and 9,672 shows, so we are reading 47% of the country’s cinemas and 77% of its shows. What we miss is single screens and smaller towns.

Everything else is BCM 12, our twelve-source weighted model, with Box Office India, Sacnilk and Bollywood Hungama ranked in that order for India. Figures marked CALL are Boxoffy positions, not reported actuals, and each one is graded in public on the date shown.
