The Hype Score (0–100)

An at-a-glance signal of pre-release momentum. Higher scores indicate films with stronger forecast tiers, more pre-release signal strength, and closer release windows. 60+ = EXCEPTIONAL · 50–59 = ELEVATED · 40–49 = NOTABLE · 30–39 = MODERATE · below 30 = MUTED. The score reflects pre-release anticipation, not a guaranteed outcome.

The Forecast Range

BCM's calibrated 90% confidence interval for opening day. A real forecast for a film weeks out lives inside a meaningful range, and the range is the honest answer. If a film opens outside the published range, the model was wrong — and we publish that too.

The Confidence Read

Films far from release inherently have less reliable signals. Confidence is calibrated against release proximity, signal strength, and the model's internal assessment of how well-anchored the forecast is. A Low-confidence forecast is honest signal — it means the model knows the future is still uncertain.

BMS Demand Signals (NEW v2.1)

For films within 30 days of release, BCM v2.1 layers in BookMyShow's interest counts, hourly booking surges, and pre-booking volumes. These are leading indicators that adjust forecasts ±15%. Hindi mass-content uses 0.20 BMS share; niche genres use 0.12. Hollywood India is calibrated separately because BMS overstates conversion for foreign films.
