The comeback project is Batwara 1947 (Aug 13, 2026) — a Partition-era drama produced but not starring Aamir, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi with Sunny Deol in the lead. Originally titled Lahore 1947, the film was renamed ahead of the Independence Day weekend release. It is AKP's first collaboration with Sunny Deol and the first time Deol and Aamir have worked together in any capacity.
